Lawyers Guide was started in 2005 as an alternative to the phone book, allowing consumers an opportunity to search for a lawyer from any location to help them with their specific needs and issues.  It was Lawyers Guide's philosophy to build a network from the ground up and allow the lawyers themselves to add their lawyer profiles, instead of populating the site with information and telling the lawyers to go claim their profiles.
